Title: Procedure for Creating a CRD from RW5
Created: 2016-10-26Last modified: 2024-04-09

The procedure for creating a CRD from RW5 is as follows:

  1. Click File, Open RW5 and select your raw file.
  2. Next, click on the Process (Compute Points) drop-down and select No Adjust. This is done because we are not balancing a traverse, but simply computing points from the angles and distances stored in the raw file.
  3. The next step is to simply click OK for the Process Settings (as we are not doing an adjustment), and then OK again for the Traverse Points (as they will default to the first and last point shot in your file and we are not adjusting).
  4. You will get a process report which you can ignore and close.
  5. Once you have closed the report you will see that a coordinate file has been created from your raw data.
  6. Click File/Save CRD.
