For the most part any of the SuperG or Surveyor+ GPS packs sold since the Summer of 2012 will not be affected by the Leap Second event.

Attached is a detailed explanation from Novatel which basically refers to the fact that older Firmware receivers once they are powered off and back on will work properly.

To check the firmware on a SuperG or Surveyor+ GPS system you can tap Equip / GPS Rover and then tap the blue box with "i" in it next to Manufacturer: Carlson.

If it shows OEM060101 or higher such as OEM0602xx or OEM0604xx then the receiver won't be affected.

If it shows OEM060100 or lower the Firmware upgrade can be done in-house at a Carlson dealership.

If the firmware shows 3.906 or lower like 3.8xx the unit would need to be shipped to Maysville for the firmware upgrade and it is a $100 service fee per GPS pack.
