Title: Conflict with Eagle Point or Bentley Network License Manager
Created: 2015-12-23Last modified: 2015-12-23
If you are running Eagle Point or Bentley network software, as well as Carlson's network software, you may experience network issues with Carlson Software.

Though, both Eagle Point and Bentley run the same type of network software as Carlson (SafeNet Sentinel), Carlson is running a more current version.

We recommend disabling the Eagle Point or Bentley license management software to allow for our license manager to host their files. This can be accomplished by accessing the Services under Administrative Tools in the Control Panel.
  1. Go to the Start Menu and select Control Panel
  2. Select Administrative Tools from within the Control Panel
  3. Choose Services from within Administrative Tools
  4. Right-click on the Eagle Point License management software, and select Disable
  5. Right-click on Sentinel RMS and select Start.
Our license management software will automatically pick up all licenses, including the Eagle Point licenses. Now, if you refresh WLMAdmin, you will see that the server version has change, and you may now apply our licenses. If you are running a new version of SafeNet's Sentinel RMS software than 9.5, you may allow that program to host our license files. However, if you are running an earlier version than the aforementioned, you will need to install our management software.
