This article is to address Quicklock issues if you have already updated to the Latest version of SurvCE and gone through normal troubleshooting procedures.

Below is the method used to check the firmware version in the Topcon robots.  This information frequently changes so it is a good idea to consult your Topcon dealer for the latest firmware version information.   If you are having Quicklock issues in SurvCE while using the Robot with a Topcon RC unit, this is a good thing to check as the older versions of Topcon Firmware have known Quicklock issues.  

Check Firmware Topcon 820-8200/800-8000

Check the Instrument Firmware:
1.	From the main Screen on the instrument press ‘7’ followed by ‘Enter’ on the instrument keypad.  You will need to continue pressing ‘Enter’ every few seconds in order to keep the information on the screen.  
2.	Current Version on 12-21-2005
•	Bios: 4.1.0
•	ABS: 1.20
•	EDM: 1
•	Std: 4.11E
•	Track: 1.10

Check the Instrument Handle Firmware (If using with RC2):
1.	From the main screen on the instrument enter the following number on the instrument keypad: ‘0464145’.
2.	Press ‘Enter’
3.	Choose Option ‘4’
4.	Current Version on 12-21-2005
•	Version: 2.1


Check Firmware Topcon 900-9000

Check the Instrument Firmware:
1.	From the Standard Measurement Screen on the instrument press ‘7’ followed by ‘Enter’ on the instrument keypad.  You will need to continue pressing ‘Enter’ every few seconds in order to keep the information on the screen.  
2. This version is current as of 10-15-2007.
•	Bios: 1.41
•	Keyboard: 1.10
•	Boot Loader: 1.11
•	ABS: 1.410
•	ABS Loader: 1.010
•	EDM: 1.100
•	Auto Tracking: 1.010
•	Std Measurment: 1.40

Check the Instrument Handle Firmware (If using with RC3):
1. From the standard measurment screen on the instrument enter the following number on the instrument keypad: ‘0464143’.
2. This version is current as of 10-15-2007.
3. Choose Option ‘4’
4. Choose Version top option
