Carlson GNSS receivers that have Gama firmware 1.4.2 or higher require SurvPC 7.12 or higher
This applies to all Carlson GNSS units (Viking, RTK5+, etc.) shipped after May 1st, 2026
It also applies to older existing Viking / RTk5 / RTK5+ Gama units with Firmware upgrades installed.
Connect your tablet to Wifi (or cellular internet) and go into File / About SurvPC and tap the grey hardhat icon in the
top left and tap "Check for Software Updates" and tap YES if prompted a new version is available and follow the steps to
download and install the new update.
Trying to use SurvPC 7.11 or older with the new GAMA firmware 1.4.2+ GNSS receivers will result in Thread not Active or
Port errors and will not work until you update to SurvPC 7.12 or higher
