Carlson RT4+ tablets have a new "Docking Pads" option that must be enabled in order to use the snap on keyboard.
The setting was introduced to prevent corrosion and preserve battery life, and default is OFF.
To use the snap on keyboard, tap the DEVICE SETTINGS icon on the desktop, then enable the option in the MISC Tab as shown in the image:
