This is in regards to using the Carlson CR+ robot when you are within 50 feet or less from your prism pole to your
instrument.

In SurvCE or SurvPC you can tap Equip / Total Station / Settings tab and change it to "EDM Mode: Fast" rather than the
Default mode of "Standard".
If you are not using a bi-pod and you are at close range to the CR+ instrument the robot will lose sight of the prism
due to even the slightest movements of your prism when the EDM attempts to take a distance reading. Using EDM Mode: Fast
when closer than 50 feet to your instrument and not using a bi-pod will improve the performance and avoid unnecessary
errors.
The EDM mode does affect the length of time to take the reading as well as the accuracy however at close ranges when you
are free handing the Prism Pole without a bipod the differences in accuracy of 0.003 foot shouldn't cause any problems:
Standard has a standard deviation of 1mm + 1.5ppm with a typical measurement time of 2.4 seconds
Fast has a standard deviation of 2mm + 1.5ppm with a typical measurement time of 0.8 seconds
Tracking has a standard deviation of 3mm + 1.5ppm with a typical measurement time of 0.15 seconds
