This is in regards to converting a *.BIN file from a Carlson BRx6 or BRx6+ GPS receiver into RINEX

1) click the link below for instructions to download the files to your computer using Wifi:
Download
Static using Wifi

2) After copying the BIN files from your BRx6 to your computer you can click the link below to download and install the
Rinex Desktop utility:
RinexDesktopSetup_v2.0.5.msi

3) After the install is complete run RinexDesktop by double-clicking the icon

4) Click File / New Profile then click "Load Binary File" and browse to the *.BIN file you copied over from the
BRx6/BRx6+ receiver

5) Then click "Process RINEX 3" in the bottom left and click OK to the Rinex Conversion summary.

6) This creates *.2xo and *.2xn RINEX files in the same folder as your *.BIN file you selected (where "x" is the year
you logged the data such as .21o for the year 2021)

You can submit this *.21o file to OPUS and select "HEMS321" as the antenna type for the original BRx6 receiver.

If your receiver has "BRx6+" printed on the front then you will need to select "HEMS321+" as the antenna type.

OPUS requires a vertical measurement to the bottom-most part of the GPS receiver in metric units (i.e. - 2.0 meters not
6.562 feet}

***The steps below would only apply if you are using an older system that came with a USB transfer cable:
1) Power on your BRx6 GPS receiver

2) Connect your BRx6 to your laptop or desktop computer using the cable with the small 1/8" circle connector on one end
and a USB and 9pin connection on the other. Match up the red dots to insert the circle connector into the bottom of the
BRx6 receiver then connect the USB cable into your computer:

3) The BRx6 will beep once and you can open the file explorer in Windows which will show a "Removable Disk" with a drive
letter such as "D:" or "E:"

4) Open the Removable list which should display a "record" and "update" folder. You can double-click the "record"
folder and copy the *.BIN files from the
ecord folder into your computer
