Title: Error 92: The Given License Code Is Invalid
Created: 2017-11-08Last modified: 2017-11-08
All network license files are designed specifically for the computer from which the license request had been submitted.
Meaning, the license request utility (regclient.exe) MUST to be run on the server, or computer, on which you had installed the Sentinel Server software.

The license files are derived from the server disk ID, MAC address, and the Carlson network serial number. We do not use Host Name or IP.

As long as either, the disk ID or MAC, remains the same as it was for the original license request, the license will continue to work on a server which has had its Host Name or IP address changed.

If the request was submitted from the correct computer, and nothing has changed on the server; please try the follwing:
  1. Run the WlmAdmin.exe found in the LMTools folder.
  2. Click "+" before Subnet Servers, to expand the list.
  3. Highlight your server name on the list.
  4. The server version will be displayed on the upper right-hand side of the dialogue box. If it does not show Sentinel 8.6.2, but something older, you will need to disable the older license management software before attempting to add the license file. Our license manager will host files from older versions of Sentinel. However, older versions of Sentinel cannot host newer licenses. If you are using license management software for another program, such as Eagle Point or Bentley, please see Knowledge Base Article #938.
