When measuring the height of the Base, select "Slant" as the measurement method.
Measure to the center of one of the two rubber Ears that stick out of the top part of the BRx5 base receiver.

When measuring the height of the Rover, select the "Vertical" method.
Measure to the bottom of BRx5 base receiver.

In the attached image the red Circle is the "Slant Measure Mark" where you measure to on the GPS Base when selecting "Slant" in SurvCE in the Receiver tab.

The blue "Reference surface for NGS vertical" is where you would measure the Rover pole height (usually 6.562 feet) and set SurvCE in the Receiver tab to "Vertical".
