To connect your Carlson Surveyor or Surveyor Plus to your PC, you will need to first disable the Advanced Functionality
setting in the data collector.
- Exit SurvCE, by going to the File tab and selecting Exit.
- Tap on Start and select Settings.
- Tap the Connections tab, at the bottom of the window.
- Select the "USB to PC" icon.
- Uncheck the "Enable advanced network functionality" check box. Then, tap OK.
Now, connect the USB to the data collector and PC. Your PC will, likely, install drivers to facilitate the
communication.
