Symptom: GOOGLE_IMAGE command aborts with error message "Error: Unable to request images from Google
Maps.
Cause: Google has retired its application interfaces used by previous versions of Carlson Software.
Resolution:
Carlson 2027 supports updated protocols and will work right away.
Carlson 2026 update is being posted to the testing builds blog. Please follow the link for your CAD
platform in the upper right corner. This build will also be deployed through automatic updates shortly.
Carlson 2025 users will need to download attached ZIP file, extract it to a temp folder and copy a DLL
specific to their CAD version to the LSP subfolder of Carlson installation. For example, for IntelliCAD 12.1, you would
copy tifutil12_1_x64.dll into LSP folder. Please check your existing LSP folder for the file to replace.
Users of older versions will unfortunately need to upgrade to Carlson 2026 or 2027 to restore affected functionality.
