When attempting to insert an Excel document into CAD, the following error might appear:

You might also see:

Exception: System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0x800A03EC): Excel cannot access 'XL2CAD.xla'. The document may be read-only or encrypted.

Your anti-virus protection software may have quarantined or otherwise blocked the functionality of the XL2CAD.xla file. Configure your anti-virus application with an exception to permit this file.

NOTE: Refer to the XL2CAD Setup Instructions for the location of the file based on your CAD product.
