Camera, Gimbal & Obstacle Avoidance Sensors
- Wipe down the camera lens and sensors before and after every flight with the included microfiber cloth.
- Regularly calibrate gimbal using the RC controller.
- Always store the drone with the gimbal/camera cover installed to prevent damage.
Batteries
- Store the batteries in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
- Do not recharge a battery immediately after a flight. Allow the batteries to cool for 20-30minutes before recharging.
- Do not leave on charge for long periods of time (e.g. days) as this will permanently damage and reduce the lifespan of the batteries.
- Do not use if there are signs of swelling/bloating to the sides of the battery. This is usually caused by gas buildup which is deemed unsafe to use and must be disposed of.
- Check the performance; if the drone flight time is noticeably shorter than usual or does not meet expectations then it's recommended to replace the battery.
- If left unused, a fully charged battery will automatically begin to self-discharge (to approx. 60%) after a few days. This is normal behavior and will prevent damage to the batteries in storage.
Remote Controller
- Ensure antenna are folded correctly in storage. Replace if they are damaged otherwise, it can cause communication issues to the aircraft during flight.
- Regularly calibrate the controller joystick to ensure smooth operation of the aircraft.
Propellers/Motors
- Inspect the propellers for damage such as cracks/chips and discoloration from UV rays.
Replace immediately. It's recommended to change out propellers after every 40 hours of flight time.
- Use a can of compressed air to blow out dust buildup inside the motor assembly.
Do not use solvents or cleaning agent in this area.
