This is in regards to checking and upgrading the firmware in a Carlson BRx7 GNSS receiver.

!!!Please Note: These steps DO NOT apply if you have the original BRx6 or BRx6+ receiver and only apply if your GPS receiver shows "BRx7" on the front of the unit:

In SurvCE/SurvPC 6.08 or higher you can power on your BRx7 and go into Equip / GPS Base or GPS Rover and in the Current tab, tap the blue box with "i" in it next to Manufacturer: Carlson. Among other things, this will display the current:

• GNSS receiver firmware
• OS Boot firmware
• WebUI firmware

You can click the link below for the instructions on upgrading your WebUI to 0.66.240409 and GNSS 6.1Aa04 if your receiver shows a lower version number for either of these:

To download the WebUI firmware file right-click the "BRx7_WebUI_0.66.240409.bin" link below then left click "Save As" or "Save Target As" to download the file:

1. Stabilized firmware update to prevent an unresponsive unit
2. Add the GET,DEVICE.WIFI.CLIENTIP command to query the IP assigned when the receiver is connected as a client
3. Add the ntrip caster function

1. Extensive RTK improvements in high multipath and VRS network environments
2. Improvements for RTK during heightened solar activity with high ionosphere activity
3. Improved position accuracy during initial fix after powerup
4. Improved accuracy estimation in dynamic environments
5. Galileo High Accuracy Service (HAS) is supported in SurvPC 7.03 or higher
