ATTENTION!

You are about to download software for your Sierra Wireless AirCard 555 Wireless Network Card. Each AirCard 555 has been configured to work on a specific CDMA service provider network. Simply downloading and installing another service provider's software and firmware will not allow the card to operate properly on that network. For more details, please contact the provider involved in originally activating your AirCard. 
Please confirm that you are downloading the correct upgrade software for your AirCard 555 network account, and computer platform. If you are not a subscriber on this network, downloading and installing this software may void your product warranty and/or lead to a malfunction of your AirCard 555.

Upgrade instructions for Windows CE .NET (v4.1 & v4.2 only)  

PLEASE NOTE: To successfully upgrade the AirCard 555 software of your .NET device, you must first remove the existing version of software and then install the new version. 

Please read all instructions fully before starting the upgrade process. 

The upgrade process follows these three main procedures as detailed below: 

Download the software upgrade to a host computer. 
Remove (uninstall) the existing version of the Watcher? software from the .NET device. 
Install the updated software to the .NET device. 

Download to the host: 
Select the Download Now button to start the download process. 
You must confirm the service provider and platform of the download in the page that appears, accept the terms of the end user license agreement, and click the Download Now button in that window to access the executable file. 
From the File Download window that appears, select the option to, "Save this Program to Disk" and click OK. 
In the Save As dialog box, in the "Save in" field, select Desktop. Leave the File name unchanged. Click Save. 
Remove the existing version from the .NET device: 
Close the Watcher software. 
Eject the AirCard 555 from the .NET device 
Select Start > Settings > Control Panel 
Double-tap the Remove Programs icon 
Select Sierra Wireless AirCard 555 and tap Remove 
Tap Yes to remove the program 
Upon completion of this, your .NET device displays a message indicating that the Uninstall is complete. If your .NET device indicates that files or folders have not been removed, you can safely ignore the message and move on to installing the upgrade. 
Install the update to the .NET device: 

On the desktop of the host computer, 
double-click the downloaded file (AC555V_CEdotNET.exe) to open the WinZip Self-Extractor. 
Click Unzip to extract the installation files into a new folder on the desktop. 
Close the WinZip Self-Extractor. 

On the desktop, double-click the new folder (AC555V_CEdotNET) to open it. 
In the AC555V_CDdotNET folder, double-click Setup.exe to start the installation process. 
Follow the installation wizard prompts to install the update to the host. 
Using ActiveSync, connect your .NET device to the host computer. 
The update will be detected and transferred to the .NET device. 
You will be advised to reset the .NET device to complete the installation. 
Disconnect your .NET device from the host. 
Insert the AirCard 555 into your .NET device. 
The .NET device is now ready to communicate with the AirCard.
