The support for the Belgium xyGridLb72 is now complete.
You will need to be running SurvCE 2.04 or higher to use the files below. You can go to www.survce.com and click
Software Download under Version 2.0 to update your SurvCE version.
In this new build, you will see a new "Predefined" coordinate system for Belgium called "Belgian Lambert 72".
In our tests, the elevation matched perfectly, but the horizontal values varied by as much as .2m. Please let us know
if this is not within the expected tolerance.
To Install this "BelgiumLb72" update:
1) Scroll to the bottom of the page and save the 3 attached files to your desktop computer {Belgium72_dEast.grd +
Belgium72_dNorth.grd + hBG03.gsf}
2) Exit out of SurvCE on the Data Collector by tapping File / Exit / Yes
4) Copy these 2 files {Belgium72_dEast.grd + Belgium72_dNorth.grd} into the SurvStar folder on your Data Collector which
is normally located in "\SystemCF\SurvStar\" or "\C_Drive\SurvStar\" --- Answer Yes when if it asks you to overwrite the
Existing Files.
5) Now copy the file "hBG03.gsf" into the Data folder on your Data Collector where your jobs are stored(for example:
"\SystemCF\Data\" or "\C_Drive\Data\")
6) Open up SurvCE and go into Equip / Localization / System tab / Edit Projection list / Add Predefined / Select
"Belgium" as the country = this will contain the "BELGE 1972 / Belgian Lambert 72" option. Tap once on this to
highlight it then tap the Green Check in the Upper Right / tap Green Check again
7) While you are still in Equip / Localization tap the GPS tab = tap the "Geoid File" button and select "hBG03.gsf" /
tap the Green Check
8) When you are finished you can tap the Green Checkbox in the upper right to return to the Main Menu
